    About the Author

    Nivaldo Tro has been teaching college Chemistry since 1990 and is currently teaching at Santa Barbara Community College. He received his Ph.D. in chemistry from Stanford University for work on developing and using optical techniques to study the adsorption and desorption of molecules to and from surfaces in ultrahigh vacuum. He then went on to the University of California at Berkeley, where he did postdoctoral research on ultrafast reaction dynamics in solution. Professor Tro has been awarded grants from the American Chemical Society Petroleum Research Fund, the Research Corporation, and the National Science Foundation to study the dynamics of various processes occurring in thin adlayer films adsorbed on dielectric surfaces. Professor Tro lives in Santa Barbara with his wife, Ann, and their four children, Michael, Ali, Kyle, and Kaden. In his leisure time, Professor Tro enjoys mountain biking, surfing, and being outdoors with his family.

    In my college’s bookstore this book was being sold for over $200, so I knew I needed to buy it somewhere else. When I received this book it was in great condition. All the pages were in tact and there were little to no markings on the pages. I like how the pages are loose leaf so you can take them out instead of hauling around a huge binder.

    The access code does not come with this product or at least it didn’t for me and a lot of my classmates who ordered this. In the description it specifically says that it comes with the textbook and the access card package.     Covers the physical chemistry syllabus for India Grades 11 and 12. Introduces the concepts nicely, explains them well, and has good questions.
    Is not calculus-based, so you will need to get that from elsewhere.

    Two stars deducted for:
    A. Errors in questions (like wrong atomic mass mentioned, questions that you can't solve with given data, lack of clarity on what / where to look up and whether you can look up - for constants)
    B. Errors in answers (more irritating)
    C. Answers not following guidelines for significant figures (quality of life.......).

    I have not to ignore "not important" things like grammatical mistakes.......

    The book needs a through proofing to correct mistakes.
    Also, the publisher provides no easy way to report mistakes.

    Could be a very good book with the mistakes corrected
