I really like this textbook. I used Abeka and its video program prior to my child joining a homeschool "school" in 6th grade. I was glad to see that his new school also occasionally used Abeka for its science curriculum. I have noticed lately a great deal of negative reviews against any homeschool program that recognizes God as the Creator of the universe. Sad reality of the times we live in. Anyway, I thought this text was very well written and presented. It explained things in a very understandable manner and had a lot of graphics to further supplement the writing. My son does better when he has pictures to augment what he is learning. Otherwise, he tends to get bored. If you are new to high school homeschooling and feeling overwhelmed, I would recommend this text and the video lessons that can be purchased directly from Abeka. The video lesson is like sitting in a real classroom with a teacher doing a 40-45 minute class.

I have home schooled both my boys using this curriculum.I appreciate these faith based text books,because they teach the truths of Gods word as fact and evolution as a theory,which is all that it is.
