Broken Promises
Mary Hochstetler and Isaac Studer sit on a fallen log hidden inside a stand of trees and pledge their love to each other. Isaac must leave Hollybrook to live with his cousin in another state during his rumspringa, but he promises to return and marry her. Isaac leaves, but after seven letters, he goes silent.
