This was my backup every day filter for the... I hope I don't need tap water... experience. I ended up taking this in my day bag on a trip to SE Asia (Philippines). It definitely came in handy. I wish the replaceable small bottom filter wasn't so flimsy (plastic hinge broke), but that's a minor complaint. This thing is absolutely the best! I'll buy another. And for those curious... no I didn't get sick. I used this to drink tap & well water from all over the Philippines, from known areas with sketchy water.
EDIT: After using this for a year (still less than 50 gallons), it is outstanding! Every time I leave the USA, this goes in my pocket. I have used this thing all over Asia and I've never been sick.

Since my purchase ofbthe trueblu straw I have used it everyday. I mostly use it when I need to get water from the public water fountains or tap it taste just like clear water. I also figured out a way to reverse flush the straw. Awesome product!
product looks okay but packaging ripped and the place of manufacture is china

I had a healthy expectation of this since hydroblu seems to be an experienced manufacturer in the field and the rating isn't bad. I was a bit disappointed to see the plastic packaging was ripped pretty badly, but i thought hey it could have been just an accident. however i was genuinely surprised it says it's made in china because someone claimed it's made in the US. consider that before purchasing. haven't used it yet but i'll be going to africa in a week, hopefully it works better than the packaging..

I literally drank from a mountain puddle yesterday while out hiking with my son's. This straw works great. The water tasted crystal clear. I will definitely be buying more!

Poor quality, you need extreme suction to get anything through this, after forcing a lot of water through this it is still hard to get anything through with normal use, the water through it also taste contaminated wit some kind of chemical.

I love this water filter pin. I have used it on some relatively clean creek water and it seemed to clear it up however the taste was really plastic-ee. I wonder if the plastic flavor will go away when its used more. It is really portable in fact i carry it daily in my cargo pants pocket (with my other pins). I would be happy to recommend this filter to others. I would also like to see more reviews of this filter.

This little filter is awesome! I carry this in an EDC kit and the filter has been used a few times already. The only issue I had was with the clip that connects to the cap. I had to glue it back on because it popped off. Other than that the filter does what it says.
