The title of our 5th DVD in the collection of the Journey Through Tornado Alley Storm Chasing DVDs, "Storm Chasing 2013 - The Year of EXTREMES" is an understatement. 2013 was MEGA-Extreme with the largest tornado ever in recorded history 2.6 miles wide on May 31, 2013 and Storm chasers and Extreme Weather Documentarists Jeff and Kathryn Piotrowski were within less than a mile of it at any given point in time recording every moment. The Bennington, KS EF-4 Tornado was on the ground on a nearly stationary path for 45 minutes to 1 hour. The footage is both stunning and extraordinary. Aerial aftermath footage is shown with the newest addition to the TwisterChasers arsenal of bringing you incredible footage their ChaserCam™ Copter. The 3rd Feature in this DVD is the Moore, OK EF-5 which took nearly the same path as the 1999 May 3, 1999 EF-5. El Reno EF-3 Tornado. May 31, 2013- an unimaginable tornado width of 2.6 MILES WIDE and the worst day the storm chasing community would ever know. Extreme Weather Documentarists, Jeff and Kathryn Piotrowski were within a mile of the tornado capturing stunning close-in footage, documenting the El Reno Tornado Event from pre-initiation to dissipation. Although winds were recorded at nearly 300 mph, 500ft above the surface this tornado was downgraded to an EF-3! **Included** A SPECIAL FEATURE TIME-LAPSE of the ENTIRE El Reno Chase Day captured from TwisterChasers dashcam. Bennington, KS Tornado - Never (until now) has an EF-4, mile wide tornado been known to stay on a nearly stationary tornado path! This tornado, covered a total path of only 2.3 miles and packed winds of 166-200 mph wreaking havoc on the cattle population of the Bollier Feedlot. Storm Chaser Dustin Wilcox captures incredible footage of this EXTREME of mother nature from initiation to the rain-wrapped final stage. Moore, OK EF-5 - Moore, OK and OKC area suffered through a devastating EF-5 on May 3, 1999...tragically on May 20, 2013 another EF-5 took a similar path leaving complete and total destruction in its wake. CAMERA 1 - Veteran Storm Chaser Rocky Rascovich, his son, Leif, capture dramatic close-in footage of the tornado ramping up to an EF-4 as they maneuver traffic jams in a panic stricken city trying to escape the tornado.
